Ivy Tran was born and raised in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Putnam City High School in 2004. Afterwards, she attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma-Health Sciences Center with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences. After working a few years as a dietician consultant in both rehabilitation and long-term acute care facilities, she decided to go back to school to pursue a master’s degree. Ivy was accepted in the Physician Associate Program at the University of Oklahoma and was involved in several campus organizations including Leadership HSC, Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Bridges to Access. After graduating from the PA Program in 2014, she married and moved to San Jose, California. For a little over a year, she worked in the Emergency Department and a family medicine clinic. Ivy’s goal was to eventually move back to Oklahoma City to be near her family and friends. Dermatology has always been an interest for Ivy and therefore she accepted a position at Lam Dermatology in 2016.
When Ivy is not working, she enjoys trying out new restaurants, cooking, staying fit and traveling with family and friends.
